I had the pleasure of filming Melissa and Stuart’s special day at Birtsmorton Court in May this year. This amazing wedding venue is in-between Malvern and Tewkesbury and surrounded in some beautiful countryside. Just perfect for any wedding!
The weather forecast was not great for their day unfortunately and we did have some rain for the bridal preparations which were held at the near by Stanbrook Abbey. However the drizzle soon passed and we had nothing but sun for the rest of the day! So it just goes to show you can’t always trust the forecasts 100% and even if it does rain for a bit on your wedding day it doesn’t matter at all!
A nervous Stuart had to wait just a little bit for his beautiful bride. But as soon as he saw her walking down the aisle the wait was totally worth it as she took his breath away! The ceremony went really well and the happy couple said their vows to each other beautifully. Afterwards they enjoyed champagne and ice cream on the terrace overlooking the moat on the grounds of Birtmorton. With views of the Malvern Hills its a perfect way to start married life!
Its always a pleasure to work along my photographer husband Duncan Cox. We have a very similar natural style to our work and are very much in tune with each other that we make the ideal team to capture both aspects of videography and photography for your wedding day. We offer a discount for booking us both together but we only do a certain number of weddings a year as a team as we do have two little boys also. So if you are interested get in touch and book a slot as soon as you can to not get disappointed down the line!
After the wedding breakfast which was served in the marquee attached to the garden room. They opened the two rooms together to become one so that the space was doubled to allow for the evening guests to arrive. Its a great idea they have at Birtsmorton Court of doing that as it keeps the evening room a complete surprise until its time to party! And of course it gives plenty of space for all the guests to mingle and relax after a wonderful meal. On this occasion the food was served by Belle House which is based in my home town of Pershore! I have worked at quite a few weddings now where Belle House have provided the catering and I must say they always look after the suppliers very well with super tasty food! Highly recommend them for your wedding day if your are looking!
Stuart & Melissa enjoyed a romantic first dance to Christina Perri and they were then joined by all their family and friends to kick start the evening party off! I love filming people dancing at weddings! It is probably my favourite bit. Everyone is usually really relaxed by now, possibly had a few drinks and just love to capturing those dance moves that your dad does or your uncle does for you to treasure forever! There is something amazing about having all these special bits edited together artistically into a short film for you to watch each year with the family and maybe even your grand children one day! It just brings your wedding day back to life in a way nothing can compare!
I love my job. I love the happiness and love that comes with it and being surrounded by all these people that are in such good spirits just gives me a warm feeling when i leave a wedding each time. So i’d like to thank Stuart & Mell for putting their trust in me to be their wedding videographer. I hope the films gives you many years of happiness.
