Ellie & Zac celebrated their special day at Merriscourt in Gloucestershire just before Christmas last year. It was an amazing day, and for me – a Cotswold wedding videographer, it was fun as the couple, along with their family & friends sure knew how to party!
Take a look at their Merriscourt winter wedding film for inspiration on planning your Cotswold wedding day. The stunning barn venue in Gloucestershire looked amazing, Ellie had such cool vision for their day and they really did pull it off big time!
On the morning of the wedding, Ellie arranged for a surprise present to be delivered to Zac. Of course, as a Cotswold wedding videographer, I definitely wanted to go along and capture his reaction on film! The main present was kept until last to build the tension, and at one point Zac thought it was just a bottle of aftershave she’d got him! But no, it was all a ploy and the big reveal came at the end. Zac was speechless when he finally opened the real gift – a stunning new watch! He was visibly blown away and it was a real pleasure to see!
The bridal preparations went well with Ellie and her bride tribe! They all looked stunning and enjoyed a few glasses of bubbly as the excitement of the day built. There was an orderly hectic atmosphere in the cottage as the flower girl and page boy arrived to get into their cute little outfits. These kind of moments are great for me to film as a Cotswold wedding videographer. The more action the better!
Then before we knew it it was time for the ceremony. Ellie made a big entrance to Queen’s Fat Bottomed Girls and everyone applauded and the cheered as Ellie’s dad proudly walked her down the aisle to an emotional Zac.
After the ‘I do’s’ the wedding party enjoyed some canapes and champagne in the beautiful Merriscourt Barn setting. The stone walls and rustic oak beam walls make a gorgeous backdrop for any barn wedding in Gloucestershire. At Merriscourt there is a lovely big tree in the courtyard decorated with festoon lighting that made a wonderful feature on one of our couple shoots.
There is also many rustic outbuildings and unusual features of the venue to play with to get those killer shots!
The evening party went with a bang! Lots of dancing, drinking and people having fun! At one point all of Ellie & Zac’s friends got them up in the air on a chair with lots of celebrations going on beneath them! It was great to watch and perfect action for me to use in my films as a Gloucestershire wedding videographer.
I really enjoyed Ellie & Zac’s wedding day and I particularly enjoyed working at Merriscourt Barn! I would love to go back there! So if anyone is looking for a Gloucestershire wedding videographer or planning a Barn wedding and wanted some fun wedding videos taken of your day, get in touch! I’d love to hear from you!
