This wedding was amazing! Full of quirky details and a really gorgeous vintage feel which had tons of style.
James and Sylva, who’s originally from Czech Republic, live in London but came back to James’ home town of Fladbury in Worcestershire to tie the knot and party with their family and closest friends.
I firstly met with James at the family home with his best man and ushers. They were all busy getting ready but found time to have a sneaky tot of whisky to settle the nerves! I then went onto see the beautiful Sylva who was getting ready at a gorgeous farm house near the river in the village of Fladbury. The house was amazing and filled with traditional furniture, big windows and loads of natural light. Perfect setting for a natural wedding film maker to create magic!
The ceremony went perfectly with no hold ups or complications. James was clearly smitten watching Sylva walking down the aisle, it was so nice to see. They are such a genuinely lovely couple who are very much in love and so relaxed in front of the camera which makes filming them for their vintage themed wedding videos such a joy!
We all left the church with big smiles on our faces and headed to Deer Park Hall. I have worked at this wedding venue before and I have to say that I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! It has huge windows that look out onto an amazing view over the Worcestershire countryside. It has a quaint, cute little garden full of flowers and shrubs with a few hidden gems that a good for taking the couple on their shoot. It also has wood clad rooms full of atmosphere. If you are a couple planning a vintage styles wedding day or a quirky wedding video then look no further than Deer Park Hall!
On this day I worked along side Amy Woodward-Taylor who is always a pleasure to work with. She puts couples at ease, gives them space when they need it and also a bit of reassurance if they happen to be nervous! The perfect combo for your wedding photographer i’d say! James & Sylva were super relaxed and chilled for us though so we didn’t need to say to much to them at all. We worked around them well and focused on capturing the moments naturally.
I pride myself on being an unobtrusive wedding videographer who has a relaxed approach to filming the big day. I enjoy creating fun quirky wedding videos for my couples that will make them laugh, smile and cry with happy emotions all at the same time! I love creating my wedding films bespoke to the couples and I always aim to bring out the atmosphere and emotions from the day in the way I edit them. So your wedding films will not only be natural they will be full of the style that you have worked hard to create. Weather your day is a rock & roll themed wedding, a vintage styled day or if you are hipster folk who love blues or indie bands! I loved themed wedding videos and am passionate about recreating that look for you.
Please take a look at James & Sylva’s special day in the heart of the West Midlands countryside. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and it was a privilege to be asked to capture it for them. I hope that they can look back on this for years to come and it will bring back all those wonderful memories over and over….
