In May I had the pleasure of filming Ollie & Emma’s special day at Oldcastle Farm in the heart of the beautiful worcestershire countryside.
As soon as we meet we clicked straight away and when they started talking about wanting their day to be relaxed and fun I just knew we were a good match! I knew I would be able to produce them a gorgeous natural wedding video of their day for them to treasure forever!
Ollie & Emma celebrated their day in full at Oldcastle Farm in Colwall in Worcestershire. The Orangery is the perfect setting for the ceremony with plenty of natural light flooding in.
As a natural, relaxed wedding videographer my approach on the day is a very calm unobtrusive one. I try not to interfere in your plans at all and prefer the day to flow as smootly as possible. I aim to capture all the special moments between family and friends as naturally as possible as I find I get the best results this way and your natural wedding video will be so much more beautiful to watch!
On the wedding day I aim to arrive 2-3 hours before the ceremony is due to take place. If the groom is getting ready in the same location then sometimes its easy for me to go between the two of you and capture as much as I can of the morning preperations. If several locations are involved then it might be worth you considering adding a second camera operator to your package. I bring in only people that I can trust to help me and they will also be natural relaxed wedding videographers like myself.
I capture all the days action from the busy preperations right the way through to the romantic first dance! I tend to have a little break whilst you are eating but nobody in my experience wants footage of them stuffing their faces! ha ha
I will film the speeches in full and also use professional audio gear to get the best quality possible.
I guess my favourite part of the day has to be the evening party! Everyone is so much more relaxed by then and all the formal aspects of the day are over so the focus is just on having fun! I love to film people, young and old dancing!
I am able to really do my job as a fun wedding videographer here and I love hunting the crowd for people being silly or just generally enjoying themselves. As lets face it, thats what a wedding day should be about, people getting together, celebrating and having fun!
Ollie & Emma certainly had fun on their wedding day and I absolutely loved capturing it for them! I hope that the films I’ve produced for them give them many years of happiness in their new life together!
