It was a pleasure to go back to work at Curradine Barns in Worcestershire again this year, I was there in April and loved its rustic feel and it did not disappoint me again this time!
This day was all about the wedding of Charlotte & Ben who tied the knot in the beautifully atmospheric Granary Barn. Here is a short four minute highlights trailer of their day. Its a fun, lively and energetic wedding video that cannot fail to put a smile on your face!
I started the day with Charl in the bridal preparations room. It was lovely and chilled and they all seemed to be relaxed and enjoying the morning. Charl’s mum was getting a little nervous as the preparations picked up a notch but that only to be expected!
I also popped in on Ben who was getting sorted in the honeymoon suite. This is the beauty of Curradine Barns, both couples have a space to get ready in at the venue so it allows myself and the photograph to easily spend time between the two of them. A lot of venues don’t have that facility so quite often the groom prep is missed which is a shame as it adds so much to the story of their wedding film. I describe myself as a documentary wedding videographer or a natural wedding film-maker so I need to capture moments like these in order to get the best out of the day and to tell their story to its best.
The ceremony went well and a teary-eyed father of the bride just about kept it together in order to give his beautiful daughter away to her soul mate! They then headed off into the courtyard and the grounds of Curradine to have their drinks reception and family photographs. During this time I was able to get my husband, Duncan, who is a newly qualified drone operator to fly his DJI Phantom 4 up in the air and get me some stunning aerial drone footage. This is a new side to my business, being able to offer aerial drone videography to my couples. We are both very excited about how this can only improve my work and raise the standards of the wedding videography produced.
After the drinks reception I talked the happy couple into coming with my husband and I into the corn field over the road from the venue. Here we were able to get some romantic shots of just the two of them alone. And having a camera on the ground and one in the air filming was fantastic! Adds another dimension to the wedding film.
After the speeches the wedding party soon began to get into the party spirit and wow did they like to dance! For a time the dance floor was packed out and all the guests, young and old, were rocking out and throwing shapes on the dance floor! It was amazing fun! This is a perfect wedding party for me, lots of dance floor action! I love a good Rock n’ Roll wedding and Charl & Ben’s day had that feel. It was relaxed, happy and lots of people rockin’ it on the dance floor! When the atmosphere is like that that is when I can capture people at their best. More alternative Rock n’ Roll themed weddings please! ha ha
So after i while i left the group to party on without me. I packed up my bags and left them to it, It had been an amazing day at the Rustic Curradine Barns that i love and this Worcestershire wedding videographer was tired out and in need of sleep!
