When a wedding videographer visits the Matara Centre, Gloucestershire!
When I was asked to film Chloe & Luke’s big day at The Matara Centre in Gloucestershire I was over the moon!
I had not filmed a wedding at this stunning venue before but had seen plenty of images of it and knew I was in for a treat!
With its beautiful gardens, unique features, vast array of distinct indoor and outdoor spaces, amazing colours and cute little ponds it was fair to say I was impressed! The place has such a calming atmosphere and is definatly a cool wedding venue to work at!
We did have a rainy start to this autumnal day and that did hold me back a little but it didn’t dampen anyones spirits and Chloe & Luke had the best day!
Take a look at this short teaser that I produced for them and I hope you will see the beauty in this venue I saw as a Gloucestershire wedding videographer…
The rain eased off after the wedding breakfast so myself and the photographer were able to get some natural shots of them in some of the gardens at this asian inspired wedding venue. We also made use of the fantastic light in the rooms of the grade II listed regency home.
As a fun, relaxed wedding videographer I don’t like to make my couples feel under pressure to “peform” as such or act in a way that is completely not natural for them. I take a documentary approach to my wedding film-making and often just like to catch shots of you as you are unaware or capture the more natural moments inbetween shots when you are just interacting with one another.
Almost all of the couples I work with say they hate being in front of the camera or posing for photos. Take a look at my recent work page and i’m sure you’ll agree that they all look so happy and relaxed. A lot of the time, after the wedding day, my couples say they felt completely at ease with me being there – and almost forgot I was filming! This is one of the biggest compliments for me!
I place a big importance on capturing the mood of the day. Wedding days are fun! And this needs to be captured and told!
I try to convey this in my editing style. I like to make creative wedding films and fun wedding videos full of happiness and love. And here is another example!
The Hilarium room at The Matara Centre in Tetbury is the perfect setting for your wedding breakfast and evening party. The painted dome celing is an eye catching feature and will give any wedding that WOW factor!
And the 28 acres of gardens and parklands are brethtaking. The rain prevented us from using these to their full potential but if I ever get a chance to go back as a Matara Centre wedding videographer it will hopefully be a bit drier!
The most renowed formal garden is the Cloistered Courtyard. This has been inspired by many original Chinese courtyards and the central pond is full of life with plenty of Coy carp!
So my plee is to any couples out there who are planning a wedding at The Matara Centre in Gloucestershire…
Please conside me as your Gloucestershire wedding videographer for the day! I will make you feel comfortable and relaxed and create a memorable creative Matara Centre wedding video for you to treasure for a lifetime.
