Earlier on in the year I had the pleasure to work at Curradine Barns in Worcestershire. Its in a small village called Shrawley which is half way between Worcester and Kidderminster in the West Midlands.
It was my first time working at this beautiful barn wedding venue but i have a feeling it definitely won’t be the last! Here are the highlights of Ellie & Elliot’s wedding that i filmed there, take a moment to enjoy them weather you are planning a wedding at Curradine Barns or simply searching for a Barn wedding videographer in the West Midlands. Its a good watch if i do say so myself! : )
I started the wedding day with the bride, Ellie, well before the ceremony, in order to capture lots of the bridal preparations. It’s great arriving in plenty of time as it makes the whole process of getting ready so much more relaxed. And if the bride and her bridesmaids are relaxed i can certainly get some great natural footage of the goings on. Ellie, her mum & the two bridesmaids were all very chilled out and generally just enjoying the girlie time, being pampered by the make-up artist and hair stylist. It was great and Ellie’s dad was in the next room slowly getting himself ready and building up the courage to give his precious daughter away bless him!
Then the time came for the ceremony and after an emotional first look between Ellie & her dad who was fighting back the tears we made our way down to the barn for the ‘I do’s’ It was a lovely ceremony and went without a hitch. Elliot was a little nervous waiting for his bride but as soon as he saw her walking down the aisle to him the biggest smile came on his face! It was a pleasure to film!
The drinks reception was perfect for a Worcestershire wedding videographer like me! The light was amazing, all the guests were relaxing in the gorgeous little courtyard that they have there at the Curradine Barns and there was plenty of smiles and laughter! I do love a good Barn Wedding!
Curradine Barns in Worcestershire is such a pretty wedding venue, i would highly recommend it to any bride planning a wedding. It has a few separate rooms, plenty of seating and bedrooms for some of your guests to stay over night! I particularly like the layout of the wedding breakfast room which is just off the court yard. The head table is positioned opposite lots of big windows which casts a gorgeous natural light over the happy couple and their family for the speeches.
Part of my job as a natural wedding videographer is to look for the best possible lighting and the best positions to work from in order to make the couple and their family and friends look at their best. So i enjoyed working at Curradine Barns for this reason i was able to make use of the atmospheric lighting in the Granary Barn and the exposed brick work and then onto the lovely bright airy lighting in the Barley Barn with it’s rustic features and oak beams. It has plenty of variety and charm which is perfect for making wedding videos in Worcestershire.
Ellie’s dad gave an emotional speech after the wedding breakfast which the whole party enjoyed. Then it was onto the first dance! They enjoyed this back in the Granary Barn and afterwards called all their friends and family onto the dance floor to join them. During the evening celebrations they had pizza’s served outside, cooked from the outdoor clay oven. It was a dry warm evening so all the guests were able to mingle and socialise in the various nooks and crannies the venue has to offer. It was a great atmosphere!
I left the happy couple to enjoy the rest of their night after I had captured some dancing and socialising shots. When i film a wedding I always like to end with a few dance moves! Not mine i might add!!!
I wish Ellie & Elliot many happy times together and may their wedding films I created be something to treasure in the years ahead!
