In June I had the pleasure as a Worcestershire wedding videographer to film the beautiful wedding of Becky & Dan at the stunning Oldcastle in Colwall near Malvern.
Here is what I as a Worcestershire wedding videographer produced, take a look!
I have to say that Oldcastle in Malvern is one of my new favourite wedding venues! For myself as a natural wedding videographer it ticked all the right boxes! I had also recently worked their for them as a promotional videographer and created this fantastic promotional video to use on their website!
The day went so well from start to finish. Becky was super chilled out during all the preparations and so was Dan! The ceremony was slightly delayed whilst we waited for a few guests to actually find this hidden gem of a venue but once it got under way it was perfect all the way through!
It was nice to work with Jim from Dearest Love Photography. He was so laid back and considerate and we got on really well! I hope to work with him again soon as we both have a similar approach to capturing a wedding day so made things so much easier…
Beck and Dan held their drinks reception on the patio with the views of the Malvern Hills off in the distance. The back drop to Oldcastle is amazing and you really do feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. As a relaxed wedding videographer i like to let the couple chat and enjoy the company of their guests so the drinks reception is the perfect time for this. Whilst they are mingling and chatting I am busy working away as a natural wedding videographer capturing all those special moments!
I also love all the attention to detail that couples go to for their wedding day and this day was no exception. As a quirky wedding videographer i always try to capture all the little details and mix them into the film as special memories for the couple to enjoy afterwards.
The speeches went well and Dan got his over and done with first! Then after the meal and the sun had lowered a bit and came into the marque at a better angle which helped me as a natural wedding videographer as I don’t like to use big video lights as I find them quite obtrusive we continued with the father of the bride and the Best Man speech.
Then lastly it was the first dance and the party! As a Worcestershire wedding videographer who like anything to do with fun, dancing and parties! I love this part of the day! Everyone is super relaxed and all the formal parts are over. I just love to spend a bit of time capturing people having fun and letting their hair down. Becky and Dan broke away from tradition slightly and invited all their guests onto the dance floor with them for their energetic first dance! It was a great idea and I got some awesome alternative wedding videographer type shots to show off on my website!
I wish Beck and Dan all the happiness in their new married life together!
