About me

The things I love...

Hi, my name is Jo and here I am pictured with my wonderful husband Duncan and my two beautiful boys Ashton & Joshua. I am an AWARD WINNING UK Videographer based in Pershore, Worcestershire – a lovely part of the world full of stunning English countryside and lots of friendly folk. Together we are Polka Dot Productions and we love to film real-life situations and celebrations naturally. We also love to produce fantastic commercial and corporate videos to help market and promote your business.

Worcestershire is in the heart of the UK, in the West Midlands but we are happy to travel to most counties including Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Leicestershire and Birmingham. Being centrally placed we are in an ideal position to travel anywhere so if you are planning a wedding in the UK or even EUROPE then please do contact us to ask about wedding videography or what we can offer your company as corporate videographers. We LOVE to receive emails from any couples or business’ and genuinely get really excited to hear all your plans.

Duncan & I have been together since 2002, we met at Staffordshire University and have been pretty much inseparable ever since! He is my rock and we make a brilliant team : ) xx
Prior to having kids I worked with Duncan in his wedding photography business as his second photographer and videographer since 2007. His business has been very successful over the years and has taken us all over the country and even to warmer climates like Cyprus, shooting in some fantastic venues and meeting lots of amazing couples.
After having a career break to have our children, who have now started school. I decided to get back into it and create my own little business baby! And so in 2014 Polka Dot Productions was born!

After only 18 months into my new business venture I was over the moon to be nominated for and go on to WIN ‘BEST VIDEOGRAPHER IN WORCESTERSHIRE‘ in the Three Counties Wedding awards! I attended the awards ceremony (see picture of me below with the Mayor!) which was held in Hereford, it was a great night! Lots of contacts made and a few cheeky drinks were had by us all!
2018 has got off to a flying start already as we were super excited to WIN the “BEST VIDEOGRAPHER in the MIDLANDS” in the THE WEDDING AWARDS! I was over the moon with this award and cannot thank all the amazing couples who have trusted me to capture their special day enough! Without their support and kind words I wouldn’t have been able to grow Polka Dot Productions into the successful business it is becoming.

2018 has seen Polka Dot Productions grow and develop into successful commercial videographers too. We have produced several corporate videos for a large UK company and have aided them in securing new clients. We have also been involved in branding films and promotional videos. Worcestershire corporate videographers are growing, and we are excited to see what the future holds for this new side to Polka Dot Productions.
Promotional videos for marketing purposes are so powerful, we enjoy bringing over the documentary skills we have learned within the wedding industry to create unique, bespoke videos as commercial videographers also. Our natural approach and passion for story-telling is key to our style as creative corporate videographers. Take a look at a selection of our commercial and corporate films here.

As this is my ‘about me’ page i thought it only fair to add a short paragraph on my likes and interests. So here are 5 facts about me that you may (or may not) find of interest….
1) I love animals and when I was growing up always dreamed of becoming a vet. However the 7 years of studying did put me off a tad! Now as a family we love dogs and are the proud owners of Baxter the miniature Schnauzer.
2) I love wine, dry white wine in particular but would not be seen turning down a glass of red with my Sunday roast!
3) I love caravans and camping holidays with my family & mates and below is an example of what a Film-Maker does when she goes on holiday! Adventuring!
4) I love knitting & Lego (much to my husbands amusement!) I am trying to knit a patchwork blanket. Might take me 20 years to finish but i will get there one day!
5) And lastly but most importantly I LOVE my boys to the moon & back! They are only 16 months apart in age so keep me on my toes but i wouldn’t change them for anything.
