2020 was like no other I, as a Worcestershire wedding videographer, had ever experienced!
Due to the global pandemic Covid-19, I only managed to get out and shoot TWO wedding in the whole season! This would be unheard of in normal times but when you are actually instructed to shut down by your government and ordered to ‘stay at home to save lives’ my movements, like the whole countries, was severely restricted!
However, in September the restrictions did ease enough to have weddings with 30 guests. So I was lucky enough to be asked to film the beautiful wedding of Emma & Colin. They chose the stunning Hartlebury Castle near Kidderminster in the gorgeous Worcestershire countryside to say their vows. And then afterwards they went onto Emma’s family farm also in Hartlebury to celebrate. The plans were perfect for a late summer wedding!
Here is the online teaser I produced for them. For a smaller wedding with a lower number of guests, it certainly did not disappoint! And to have a bride riding her horse BAREBACK in an open field for sunset!!!! Well, what more could I, as a wedding videographer as for?!?
Take a look at their story…
It really was a day to remember and I can’t thank Emma & Colin’s family enough for making me feel welcomed and at home during the day. I was a little nervous since it was my first wedding since the world changed but they were all very relaxed and approachable which made me feel at ease and able to get straight back into the flow of filming beautiful content for my natural wedding films – which is what I do best!
As a Worcestershire wedding videographer, I love marquess wedding receptions at a family home! There is something very relaxed and unique about the whole day. I think as the couple can have so much more control over the flow of the day, the decor and the layouts it is always a great vibe!
I like to think I specialise in relaxed, happy wedding films so this set up does suit my style well. Wedding days are happy occasions and need to be remembered in that way so I am all for the day being planned as stress-free as possible in order for my couples to have the best day possible!
This is when I get the best footage for your natural wedding videos and I am able to shine as your Worcestershire wedding videographer!
I think the thing that I will remember most about this day has to be Emma riding her horse bareback in the field at sunset! The conditions could not have been more idyllic, it was so dreamy! I felt so honoured that I was able to be there to capture it for them and now they have this moment to treasure for always. I hope they eventually get to share it with their children – or even their grandchildren! How amazing would that be?!
But that is what it’s all about, getting these magical moments encapsulated and saved to be able to re-live them with your family in the future. This is why I love my job as a natural wedding videographer, I get to be part of all these special moments and capture them beautifully for your wedding films. This makes me, a wedding videographer in Worcestershire one happy lady! : )
I will also remember Colin lovin’ life on his classic motorbike, riding it round and round the field outside the marquee!
He gave all the kids a turn on it and even his mum! It looked like he was in his element!
Then finally just before the speeches he got his new bride Emma on there and rode her around the field and then also INTO the marquee! Talk about making an entrance! Ha Ha
The rest of the day and evening went really well. The evening was finished off with fireworks on the lawn! I just love the footage I got of them cuddling and giggling as they watched the sky light up! They looked so genuinely in love and content in each other’s arms it was a joy to watch! And now they have these moments documented forever in their natural wedding videos they can enjoy them whenever they like! Even after the dust has settled and the flowers have wilted.
I wish them both all the happiness in their new life. And if they can find love and marry in a pandemic I’m sure the years ahead will be plain sailing! Good luck guys!
