Ria & Chris got married at the stunning Mythe Barn in Atherstone, Warwickshire
I started with an excited Ria as she got ready with the help of her lovely bridesmaids as a slightly nervous Chris waited down in the ceremony room for his beautiful bride.
As the guests started arriving the buzz in the ceremony room could be felt and i’m sure the butterflies in Chris’ tummy got bigger and bigger!
Chris could hardly hold back the tears when he saw Ria coming down the aisle. The ceremony was lovely and Chris’ sister made a very touching and tearful reading.
The drinks reception was relaxed and the whole wedding party enjoyed a glass of Pimms in the courtyard area inside the Mythe Barn.
Mythe Barn as a wedding venue is fantastic, lots of natural light coming in from the large windows and big wooden beams shaping the rooms. There is also some lovely gardens within the venue grounds which myself and the photographer which was Tammie Louise took full advantage of.
After the wedding breakfast Tammie and I took the happy couple and the bridal party off for some shots of just them. This was a chance for Ria & Chris to have a moment to themselves and a breather to soak up the day which is so important on your wedding day as i’m sure you have read it in the build up but it really does go by super quick!
The romantic shoot is a great way for me to get natural video footage of you both giggling and sharing a few kisses. And as I said its a perfect time to catch up with one another and just share that special moment together. Even if its just for half an hour whilst your guests are sitting down or at sunset, I really do recommend it!
Their day went on as planned and everyone had such a great time. The speeches were full of laughter and even an impromptu poem from Josh, Ria’s brother! Very funny!
As it was still light outside the wedding party made the most of the day before the first dance and enjoyed coffee in the courtyard whilst the staff prepared the room for the evening party.
This is a great chance for me to catch some relaxed reportage shots of people chatting and special moments together. I love working in this style!
I stayed with Ria & Chris until just after the first dance had finished which was a Full Day’s coverage. I find that this way I can capture some dancing action and it helps to create a full picture of the day afterwards in the wedding film which is important for telling a story.
I believe after I had gone Ria, who is a keen saxophone player got up on stage with the band and performed a few numbers! Quite disappointed I missed that but i was very happy to hear that they made the most of their party and had a really good time which after all is THE most important thing!
I wish them every happiness in their new life together and I hope that the films I have so carefully created bring back all the special memories of their day over and over again for many years to come!
