Sophie and Richard held their special day at Deer Park Hall near Pershore in Worcestershire. I don’t think the sun stopped shinning all day long!
We have some gorgeous wedding venues in Worcestershire but this has to be one of my favorites! Stunning views, lovely light airy rooms and an additional wood clan ceremony room for a more atmospheric feel for certain parts of the day.
Take a look at this wonderful highlights reel of their day which i’m extremely proud of and I am so happy to show it off!
I get on really well with all of my couples but I think as Richard, Sophie and I all grew up in the same town and went to the same school it gave us a firm basis to form a strong bond and we clicked right away! My job as a wedding videographer is amazing like that, I get to meet loads of new people each year and usually we keep in touch after the wedding and remain good friends. Its so lovely for me to see the couples grow in their relationships after the wedding day, buy houses or have babies that kind of thing and to know that I was there at the start of their journey, capturing it all on film for them to treasure forever.
Sophie and Richard had lots of outdoor action on their wedding day as it was the height of summer and the sun was at its best! They had a musician there, Dan Greenaway who did an amazing job of entertaining the wedding guests and creating the perfect summer wedding day vibe!
After the wedding breakfast and speeches, to fill the gap before the first dance, the guests all had a game of ‘Heads Up’ (google search) at their tables. The game is basically a bit like charades. It was hilarious! Seeing all the groups of people going crazy with the actions to get as many in as the could in a certain time frame. Looked like so much fun and a definite pick me up after a big meal! Of cause a few drinks always helps to make these types of games better! ; )
So the evening part was kicked off with the first dance in the wood clad room at Deer Park Hall. It was heartfelt and moving and then all the closest family members joined in. The father daughter dance was followed soon after and I don’t think Sophie’s mum could cold back her tears watching her baby all grown up in her stunning wedding dress.
Myself and the photographer who was Vicki, from ‘Photography by Vicki’ took the couple off during sunset to get some shots and footage of them in the field with the deer. This was AMAZING! And I would recommend Deer Park Hall for this alone. A really lovely experience that we all felt privileged to be part of.
I stayed for a short time after the first dance to capture some dancing fun before calling it a day. This wedding day will stick out as a definite favorite of mine! I hope Richard and Sophie enjoy their films for many years. Best of luck in your new life together guys!
