It was a perfect winters day in November last year and Jake and Louise said their vows in a very atmospheric wood clad room in a Hotel in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside!
I arrived at the wedding venue which was the Wood Norton near Evesham in Worcestershire bright and early and ready to capture some amazing footage of this lovely couple to make their bespoke natural wedding videos.
The photographer, Jonny Barratt, was already there working hard. I knew Jonny from some photography/videography social groups on the internet but had never actually met him in person. He’s a super chilled out guy who has a strong documentary style, quite similar to the way I work, so it was a pleasure to work along side him on the day.
The preparations went well and I got some amazing shots in the fabulously naturally lit bridal suite.
My husband in a newly qualified drone operator and also my second shooter. He was with me for this wedding and as the weather was so good and he brought his drone in the hope to get some nice footage for his portfolio. Little did we know that he would completely nail it with a stunning sweeping shot of the couple stood at the edge of the big walled garden on the lawns of the Wood Norton. It was a fantastic shot and it had to be used in the opening sequence to their wedding video.
Its great to have my husband on board as a drone operator for aerial shots or a second shooter on the ground should the couple require it. It makes Polka Dot Productions so much more dynamic and capable to deliver the perfect wedding film produced to very high standards that can set us aside from other wedding videography companies in the Worcestershire area.
The drinks reception was held on the lawns and the lights we had was to die for! I love a crisp winters day with a blue sky and a touch of frost in the morning!
We let the couple enjoy the time and socialising with their guests and concentrated on capturing footage of them naturally as the relaxed and had fun. As a fun, relaxed wedding videographer in Worcestershire this time is perfect for capturing the atmosphere of the day that you have spent so long planning. I like to work unobtrusively from the sidelines and I never try to interfere in the action. I am there to film the fun moments so that is basically what i spend my time looking for.
The evening went just as the happy couple planned and everything ran on time. Jonny and I were able to grab the couple for 10 mins and took them up to an old run down out-building on the grounds of the Wood Norton. Louise was up for a bit of an adventure, she trusted our vision and was keen to have some stunning shots of them together. It had the perfect rustic feel for alternative wedding videography and it was great to get the couple alone to capture a few romantic shots of them.
After the first dance and a bit of the party action we left the couple to enjoy their night. The were all enjoying the time on the dance floor and celebrating with their friends.
Jake and Louise are such a naturally in love and happy couple i just know they will have the perfect marriage together! I hope that they can dig out their wedding videos as often as possible and feel all the emotions over and over of their special day. Best wishes guys!
